STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT NETEX IN COLLABORATION WITH UNIVERSITY OF NISI’d like to share my impressions of the trip to the city of Nis in Southern Serbia. The trip took place at the end of February. The trip was due to a presentation of the student internship program that Netex had in collaboration with the University of Nis.
The presentation marked the last step of the extensive collaboration between Netex and the university, initiated by a Netex employee, Daniela Randjelovic. The collaboration aimed to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study and to establish a relationship between the university and Netex. This, in return, would position Netex as a reliable potential employer. This story outlines the key points discussed in the presentation and provides an overview of the collaboration between Netex and the University of Nis. Netex is strongly committed to education and invests in developing young professionals. As a result, Netex developed a student internship program that aims to provide students with practical experience in their field of study. The program is designed to help students gain valuable experience that will prepare them for the workforce. The program is created as a hybrid between translation practice and internship in digital marketing and will be fully carried out by the Netex Marketing department.
Daniela Randjelovic, a Netex employee, initiated the collaboration with the University of Nis. Randjelovic was passionate about her work at Netex and believed the company could make a difference in students’ lives. She contacted Ivan Jovanovic, a professor of the French language at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Nis. Jovanovic was interested in providing his students with practical experience and was impressed by Netex’s commitment to education. The initial contacts started in 2022. After Randjelovic, other people got involved and travelled to Nis to plan out details of future cooperation and further company promotion. People who partook are Marija Marusic, HR; Katarina Ostojic, a psychologist; and Kristina Jovanovic, a CEO. They organized a couple of workshops on writing a CV and How to act in a job interview. Additionally, they participated in a job fair organized by the faculty.
The student internship program allowed students to gain practical experience in their field of study and digital marketing. The program was open to students of Master studies, senior students, and first-year students at the University of Nis. Students were required to have a strong academic record and to demonstrate a genuine interest in their chosen field. The program allowed students to work on real projects, learn from experienced professionals, and gain valuable experience that would prepare them for the workforce.
The presentation of the student internship program marked the last step of the collaboration between Netex and the University of Nis. It took place on February 28th. Zoran Jozic, Head of Marketing, did it. The presentation was well-attended, with students, professors, and representatives from Netex in attendance. The presentation included an overview of the collaboration between Netex and the University of Nis, the student internship program, the responsibilities of the participants, and the benefits of attending the program.
In conclusion, the collaboration between Netex and the University of Nis was a success. The student internship program provided students with valuable experience and helped to establish a relationship between the university and Netex. The program presentation marked the last step of the collaboration and was well-received by all in attendance. Netex remains committed to education and looks forward to continuing to work with the University of Nis to provide students with valuable experiences that will prepare them for the workforce. After the presentation, there was an informal meeting between Ivan Jovanovic and Jasmina Djordjevic, professors at the University of Nis and Marija Malusic, and Zoran Jozic as Netex representatives. In cordial communication, it was agreed that the presentation was successful and will be a cornerstone of future collaboration between the two parties in the coming years.
