The Logistics Coordinator for Distribution is responsible for optimizing transport operations' cost and efficiency, including maritime and land transport. This role involves implementing cost control measures, managing invoices, overseeing parcel shipments, and ensuring that all transport units meet performance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to resolve discrepancies quickly while maintaining excellent relationships with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Control Implementation: Develop and implement cost control measures for distribution transport operations to optimize expenditure and enhance efficiency.
  • Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Regularly monitor and analyze maritime and land transport costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Invoice Management: Utilize logistics systems to control and manage invoices related to courier services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Shipment Oversight: Oversee the status of parcel shipments, promptly addressing any discrepancies or issues during the transportation process.
  • Transport Unit Management: Control and monitor the performance of transport units, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet established performance standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any operational issues related to transport and logistics, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present reports on transport costs, unit performance, and shipment status, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with transport vendors to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure service levels meet expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
