Details
The Accounting Economist will provide support to the Accounting Department by performing various clerical and analytical tasks to ensure financial efficiency and accuracy. The role involves invoice processing, account balancing, report preparation, and internal/external communication.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices accurately and timely.
- Balance accounts by analyzing data and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Handle manual invoices when required.
- Monitor and analyze marketplace payments and costs.
- Prepare financial reports, including Handelsstatistik and Bundesbank reports.
- Assist clients during audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with IT and programming teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Process and manage emails from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Address and resolve conflicts automatically received from various platforms used by customers.
- Communicate effectively with clients, transport companies, and internal departments via email and phone to obtain necessary documents and information.
